A Heritage Venue at the Heart of Woolton Village
For over a century, the Woolton Village Club has been an integral part of the community and has played a significant role in the history of Woolton village. This Grade II listed building has been a venue for various events — including the early days of the Beatles, when Paul McCartney met John Lennon through a mutual friend and later joined the group. The line-up that included three future Beatles, including George Harrison, performed at the Village Club in 1959 as The Quarrymen.
